Branding for Half-time Food

Half Time Food is a perfect blend of street grunge and contemporary Asian. Best known for its Taiwanese breakfast and iced beverages, Half Time Food is a quintessential canteen filled with happy regulars; satisfying your cravings for breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner and even a midnight treat. Inspired by the Taiwanese street food and modern interpretation of Asian brands in Australia, Half Time Food will capture the spirit of old-school eateries with a modern twist. With a nostalgic touch featuring patina-effect walls, graffiti-style stencilled murals and rustic lanterns; Half Time Food is a trendy spot that celebrates the culinary arts of Taiwan.

Delivered: Branding, feature wall and mural graphics (in collaboration with LYD Studio)

Project update: The proposed branding was revised due to name change (from Half-time tea bar to Half-time food); as well as feedback from clients to create a more traditional aesthetic.

The resulting logo concept is in the form of a Chinese seal with hand carved lettering - adding an extra layer of ‘hand-made’ aesthetic and authenticity. Harking back to the age-old tradition of signatures with seals, this red ink logo will be an eye-catching and memorable mark for the brand.
